I have known Krista Pollack for 20 years. Krista is an excellent teacher, rider and trainer. She has a talent for teaching and explaining concepts using creative and visual images. I often use her images in my own teaching! Her love and compassion for horses comes out in her riding. She can turn around a nervous horse to completely trust her and develops them into a beautiful dressage horse. Krista is a kind, driven and very hard working coach and rider. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with her is lucky.

Elliot aka “Ellie” and most often “Diva” is a 15 year old Hanoverian. Krista and Elliot currently compete at the Grand Prix level and occasionally train with Belinda Trussel. Quickly moving up from third level in 2013 to PSG in 2015, he has far exceeded any of our expectations. Krista often referred to him as “pencil neck”, during our first year together. Zuzu, born in Quebec, is a perfect example of Canada’s Heritage Horse. Unchanged over over the past 400 years since the gift from the kings own private stable, King Louis from France gifted these horses to the newly settled migrants to quebec. These Canadian “Little Iron” horses continue to thrive today, while not plowing fields or farm work, but excell in Dressage and eventing, making a name for the hardy yet friendly breed. Keep you eye on Zu as she travels up the ranks towards her

Krista is a truly gifted teacher. Her lessons are always well planned to be challenging and focused on skill development at levels appropriate for the riders, while always keeping in mind that the sport of riding is fun. Often, after a student has worked through a difficult situation, Krista will offer words of wisdom which apply not only to the challenges of riding, but to life itself. These learning moments help her students to grow in every way. At horse shows her professional, calm, and encouraging manner helps her riders keep their nerves at bay and remain focused, enabling them to put forth their best efforts. This has resulted in numerous successes year after year.
I have met many horse people in my over 40 years of involvement in the equestrian sport and, in my opinion,Krista Pollack is one of the best. I feel very fortunate to have her as a teacher and role model for my daughter, and the person to whom I can entrust the care of the equine members of my family as well.
Krista has been so very instrumental in helping me peel away the years of good, bad and old to bring us up to where we are now. She is the very best. Hands down.
